It is an alternative approach to provide nutrition to your furry babies using whole foods.

Right4Paws Pet Food is the next generation of pet food as it is minimally processed using the sophisticated Multi Factor Controlled Dehydration (MFCD) technique, where the food is gently dehydrated while preserving the characteristics and nutrients of the ingredients. It combines the benefits of natural food with the convenience (open & serve) offered by commercial dry kibble pet food.

Right4Paws Pet Food is versatile and can be served either dry or in a rehydrated form, making it similar to fresh food.

Right4Paws Pet Food is vet formulated, complete & balanced, and species- & biologically-appropriate, made using human-grade ingredients. It contains no synthetic preservatives or supplements. It is the goodness of nature delivered in an easy-to-use package.

“Species appropriate” and “biologically appropriate” food replicates a near-natural whole food diet that the species would have found in its natural environment.

Dogs were once believed to be omnivores; however, scientists now classify them as facultative carnivores. This means they possess all the mental and physical characteristics of carnivores while also being able to consume small amounts of fruits, vegetables, and other plant-based foods.

Their digestive system is almost identical to that of the wolf. Their diet requires a high proportion of meat, including organs and bones, combined with vegetables, fruits, and botanicals to meet their daily nutritional requirements.

Our product suite is the culmination of the daily recommended nutritional requirements delivered through whole foods that are suitable for the species while meeting the convenience demands of contemporary society.

Whole Food – Food that retains all of its natural characteristics, with nothing removed and no additives.

Human Grade Ingredients – Ingredients that are suitable for human consumption.

Human Grade Whole Food is therefore food that retains its natural characteristics without any additives and is made using ingredients that are suitable for human consumption.

Processed Pet Food – Ingredients are processed using high temperature and pressure or are cooked, causing the natural characteristics of the ingredients to change and reducing the availability of natural nutrients. Artificial fortification is therefore required to meet the nutritional guidelines prescribed by AAFCO/FEDIAF (e.g., dry kibble).

Natural Pet Food – Raw – Ingredients are provided in their raw form. While enzymatic activity and nutrient bioavailability are at their highest, there is a risk of pathogens that can be harmful to humans, leading to potential cross-contamination and limited shelf life. Typically, this is not in line with FEDIAF/AAFCO recommendations.

Natural Pet Food – Cooked – Cooking destroys enzymatic activity. Although it eliminates the risk of cross-contamination, it has a high risk of perishability. Typically, this is not in line with FEDIAF/AAFCO recommendations.

Minimally Processed Pet Food – The food retains its natural characteristics and nutritional value. Artificial fortification may not be required, or in some cases may be required depending on the processing technology and ingredients used.

Bioavailability describes the extent to which nutrients are actually available for a dog to absorb and use.

Bioavailability depends on the food type, as well as other factors like the levels of other nutrients that might be present.

The bioavailability of processed pet food ingredients is lower than that of ingredients that are minimally processed, like our products.

For example, processed protein sources provide 3.5 kcal per gram, whereas the unprocessed equivalent provides 4 kcal per gram.

This equates to an expected 13% increase in nutrient availability from fresh, whole foods compared to processed alternatives.

This is one of the reasons why minimally processed foods tend to be better for our pets.

It is also common for dogs on a minimally processed food diet to show improved digestion and decreased poo volumes.
